It is finished.

I finished my cousin's cross stitch. It's completed, washed, ironed, and ready to be taken to Michael's tomorrow morning before work. Crap, I have to find out when they open. I guess maybe I'll have to bring it later in the day. I doubt they are open at 8:30-9. And I was going to walk to work tomorrow, too. I guess I still could, but.. hm... anyway.

Hopefully they can have it framed early next week or even this weekend since I have the stuff to frame it already. YAY. Now I am totally going to sleep. I hope the haze is really gone and I am just not used to it. *zonk*

How do you wash a cross stitch project?

Very carefully! I use room temperature water with a little woolite. I just swish it around in a tub of water and then rinse it out under softly running water or in the tub depending on the size of the project.

It helps to get any grime or sweat that came off on the fabric/floss while I was working on it. It also helps to get any ridges from folding or using hoops out faster than just dampening and ironing.

And now I realize I didn't initial it. crap. I 'll have to do that carefully now.
