Also, I am mildly dismayed that some people do not get that it is a joke at all and every time it is brought up, there is this little wisp of mini-drama. I guess people are very patriotic about Pennsylvania, and who can blame them? But still. My LJ = NO DRAMA!!!

Yes, I think it is amusing. Everyone is always like "WHT PA IS TOTALLY A STATE WHAT YOU TALKIN' 'BOUT?!?!". Whatever. It's funny. Get over it, people.

I was just being silly one day. But Pennsylvania really SHOULD be its own country, I think. Commonwealth -> State. I don't think so. Commonwealth -> Country. Yes!

We are a country though, the US of A. This is where it all started! The British are coming! :-D

I'm thinking Pennsylvania and Massachusetts could somehow form a MORE perfect union. I would move there! Especially if you have you some universal healthcare. And pomegranates.

That could be pretty awesome. The key would be to creating the ultimate transportation between the two (or somehow move one of them?) so you don't have to go through NYC. Which is pretty much the only way to get from MA to PA (or vice versa).

Seriously. If NYC weren't in between I'd probably visit you more often. Or visit you, period. Dumb city. :-p

Maybe you could suck up NJ into your commonwealth-hood. Then we could go by boat!

Most of us Jerseyans prefer independence, though ;)

hehe. I understand! I'm actually from RI, and we greatly value our independence and statehood also. :)

We do have universal healthcare here, but I'm not sure about pomegranates. Think that's a PA thing. Although if they combined they'd have both. However, politically, I think the states are too different to do that. There'd be another revolution! :(

I'm really just using this as an excuse to use my Jersey icon
Buck up, little commonwealth! You'll be a state someday!
