O Holy Night!

I think I said a million times how well it went on Christmas Eve - and now you can see for yourself!

Two verses. Interesting. Was that your decision?

I liked the three verse one we did last year, but this one was the one we could find this year. I think I like it better.

That's cool. You usually only hear one verse so I was surprised. :) Sounds good. I didn't think you needed the spun R's though, sounds too formal or something.

Formal is kind of the idea. :)

Thanks. :-) Coming from you that means more than from most!! When I listen to the old stuff from voice lessons with Grady I feel like it's a different person.

Hey, you were good even then - but it's clear you've been practicing! I know what you mean though, as soon as I got to college I had a complete psychotic episode where my brain would NOT let me sing... It was like a physical problem. Now that I'm out of college it's gone away completely. I feel really embarrassed that I just couldn't perform at all.

I'm very pleased with your progress and hope you post more stuff you're proud of :)

Much, much better than Martin Crane's version on Frasier!

Glad yours went well! The service I went to had a few problems...

After singing O Come All Ye Faithful, there was a reading, after which the organist began playing O Come All Ye Faithful again, to confused faces in the choir. After he realized what he was doing, he improvised an early ending, then walked over to the piano to start the anthem they were supposed to be doing. :) Then later, he played 4 verses of a hymn while the program said to only sing two.

I guess they were having problems all night, because at the beginning the pastor said the service would be identical to the other service earlier that evening, but you'd never know it if you attended both. :)

I'm still glad I went though. I've missed it in recent years. I've always loved the organist's key-changing interlude before the last verse of Joy To The World.
