I say I don't like "shopping"...

What I really mean is that I don't like shopping for clothes and do-dads. I LOOOOOOOOVE shopping for DEALS.

Today I hit up:

CVS (got a rain check, and managed to get them to give me $2 back in cash since the reward bucks didn't work)
Rite Aid (used $41.49 in coupons)
Giant Foods (Total before savings: $75.69, total after? 40.33)

Stopped home for a break & to print a few more coupons, then:

Target (Spent: $6, saved: $10.55)
Walmart (Spent: $24, saved: $10)

I'm going to try to focus on the RiteAid and CVS "games" for the next month or so and only buy produce & dairy at the grocery store.

You're the type of shopper who always holds me up in line 'cause you need to get each penny counted aren't ya?

Sometimes, but only if the cashier is having problems. I have my coupons as organized as possible, I have the prices of items written down on my list for reference and if there's a problem, I let them finish and then go to customer service.

I'm not sure if I really wanted to know. :-p :( I'm the weirdo who walks away without even looking at the receipt and more often than not never do. I also don't count or usually even look, at the change I get back, just pocket it and move on. :-p

lol. I was standing there when someone just grabbed some pizza rolls (the generic) and I turned to them and let them know that the brand name was on sale for almost 50% cheaper and they were so happy! I was like, dude, open your EYES.

lol! Yay you are helpful. :) That would have been me except I would have been buying the brand name in the first place. I do usually notice if my usual stuff is on sale and if so will pick up two instead of one, but that's as far as I go. :-p

Basically people figure out how to work with the sales, coupons, and other deals to get the bulk of their items for free. Sometimes it involves getting things you wouldn't necessarily use (which some people donate or sell on ebay) to get money back to spend on things you need. We'll see how it goes! There are a lot of blogs that walk you through it.

I know I would fail miserably at that, because I am SO lazy about going to the post office. BUT I think you could do it REALLY well! I hope you post about your experience.

CVS rewards are given to you at the register (basically like a dollar-off coupon) and RiteAid rewards are done online and then they send you a check.

I get some from the sunday paper, but most of them are printables from the internet. My favorite sources are thethriftymama.com and moneysavingmom.com
