baby update

As an update to this post, the baby (it's a girl) downstairs is not teething. However, apparently she's had a cold the past couple weeks and they've been doing some sort of nasal spray that she doesn't like. Yeah, that'd do it.

This, of course, means that the teething crying is yet to come. Darn.

Aww, poor baby. Does this mean you are getting to know your neighbors now?

Not particularly, just to say hi and "oh, is your baby teething?" :-P

It sounds mean and I'm not trying to be a jerk, but... You know if you're moving into a dog-friendly apartment that you're probably going to hear a dog barking at all hours of the night.

Shouldn't you be able to opt out of living right next to/above/below an apartment with a baby?

No, I know what you mean. I wouldn't have taken the apartment if the landlord hadn't told me that the couple downstairs were thinking of moving "soon". It doesn't help that my bedroom is technically the "second" bedroom, so the baby's room is probably the one below mine. It's really not that bad, but ya know how lj is the best place to complain. :-P

Yeah I do know what you mean... Honestly I'm in a similar situation. The kids upstairs are unbearably loud, even the mother who stays at home all day with no job... All they do is run back and forth, screech around the furniture, jump up and down, stomp their feet really loudly. And sometimes they have other kids over which makes it way worse. They (7 an 5 year old) go to sleep between 10pm-12am on school nights. This morning they woke us up at 8 by jumping around the room. On weekdays we get up between 5-6am because that's when they wake up and start running.

When we first moved in, the woman told us they'd be moving "within the next year"

Then I hear from the lady downstairs that they've been saying it for 5 years now. If I had known that we would have found another place to live.

Oh yeah our apartment reeks of smoke now because it's winter and I guess the woman downstairs smokes inside when it's cold out. Yeah... I thought this was a no-smoking apartment but it's also a no-pets apartment and she has three cats. Go figure.

As soon as Pete can afford to not live in the ghetto we are moving.
