plantars wart

I have a Plantars Wart on the bottom of my foot (so says Dr. Mom). It's been there for a few months, I think, but it never hurt. Maybe it's something else? According to the quick google searches I did, they are supposed to hurt. Just more confirmation, I guess, that there is about 2 inches of dead skin on the bottom of my feet. :-P I have got to get some of those dead-flesh-eating-fish.

Also, to do this week:
make eye doctor appointment
make dermatologist appointment

No, they don't always hurt. I had several in HS from swim team.

You can get rid of them by using a slice of raw potato taped onto them (seriously) but the Dr Scholes wart remover patches are faster.

I'm going for the salicylic acid and Duct Tape remedy. :-) If that doesn't work I'll have to buy a potato before I go to the dermatologist. :-P

Huh. My Gm's got a wart on her finger. I picked up some stuff for her to use on it, and it started going away, so she stopped when she went through the box... and it came back!

I had a period in 7/8th grade where I had about half a dozen warts on each foot. Actually, I don't think I ever told anyone 'cause it weirded me out. They didn't hurt either unless I walked a certain way and put tons of pressure on one, but I used the same stuff I picked up for my Gm's fingers on my feet... only they have a special version for your foot that is padded. Dr. Scholls makes it I think. If you try it... keep using it until the wart's gone. You may have to go through more than one box. But... I think it's better than fish! Ew. :-p Good luck!

The fish aren't for the wart, they are for the masses of dead skin that accumulate on my poor feet.

Ah, okay. I'd still be scared and eewed though. :-p Are you really going to get them? Can you buy them places?

I'd really have to go someplace that has them. I don't really know how to go about finding out about this sort of thing. Maybe a spa or something? *shrug* It's something I've toyed with, but nothing serious yet.
