So soon.

Tomorrow's the big (tappy) day. I don't think I'll be around the internet much.

10:30 - Call
2:30 - Show Starts
2:30 + 2hrs-ish - Pictures and chatting

After that we are going to dinner at an indian restaurant and Hookah Bar. Whatever that is. SHould be interesting. If anyone has any suggestions of tame indian dishes (and their names?) they would be much appreciated.

Good Night Interwebs. :-)

tame indian dishes.... you may not get this in time but oh well...

two of the most basic are chicken tikka and tandori chicken. basically bbq chicken.

if you like spinach try palak paneer as a side dish, paneer is a indian cheese - they call it a cottage cheese but it reminds me more of a really soft mozzerella, its kinda "squeeky" like cheese curds. so they put it in sauteed spinach and it is delish

Baingan Bartha is Joe's favorite dish, its just about all he gets, and its eggplant and spices (you can ask them to make it mild.)

get some naan, its really really good bread, kinda like pita but fluffier. you can spoon food onto it and eat it kinda like pizza.

anything you order you can ask for mild spices.

my favorite thing to drink is a Mango Lassi, its a mango yogurt drink which is really smooth and its great for taking the edge of of spicy foods. they serve it over ice so its not thick like yogurt, its kinda like a smoothy i guess.

for dessert, if you want something, get the Sevai Payasam. its kinda like rice pudding, but made with vemicelli pasta, so its softer than rice pudding, and they use flavors like cardamon which is really good. Or get youself a garam chai tea - its pretty incredible.

Thanks! I just wrote that all down. I got to come home between the show and dinner. Very helpful! :D

what did you end up getting?

Crazy story. My dad had reservations, but we got there and it was CLOSED! And the place looked pretty empty (not like they were going to be opening soon or something). We ended up going to a seafood place. :-P But we have a $100 gift certificate for the Indian place, so we'll probably try again.

Wowzer, why is the call *so* early? Are you having a complete run-through?

It could have been earlier. It was our only time for dress-rehearsal stuff. Accessory organization, etc, and a full run-through including some praticing. Went really well. full post later. :)
