Baby Love

Today was my last day going to Shells for church for a while. I told Barb (choir director that suggested I try out for the Pine Street job) and she was so excited for me! Then I told her I wouldn't be able to come to church anymore. ha. I don't think she really thought about that. :-/ I think I could make an 8am service maybe once a month. I want to get into a routine of getting up earlier anyway, so I could see it happening. I told Pastor, too, and she was happy for me (not quite as much as Barb who was practically jumping up and down), but disappointed I wouldn't be around much anymore. I do have a meeting on the 24th, so it's not like I won't ever see them again. :-P

After church, I came straight home and had some lunch (tortilla pizza with deer sausage) and got a present together for our visit to Randy (Mike's former co-worker from KB) and Shannon's house. We got to see Jacob, their baby who is only 6 weeks old! For some reason I thought he was older than that, but he was sooooo adorable! I held him for 2 hours. I wanted to take him home with us, but Shannon wanted her boy back. Psh. Whatever. :-P His fingers and toes were soooo tiny! :-D

Anyway, Randy made stuffed flounder, broccoli, and fettuccine Alfredo for dinner! Very yummy! And a good time was had by all (but I was slightly disappointed they didn't let me keep Joshua - boo).

Pfft, new parents. Why do they think they want the baby back?

Where did you get the venison sausage?

edit: I changed my default userpic but I don't want to offend you or paste it all over your LJ. I will try to remember to change from default but I apologize in advance if I forget or if you respond before I can edit!

My parents have a couple different people that give them venison: 2-3 people who hunt on their land (bow/arrow only) and my sister's boyfriend who hunts during rifle season elsewhere. My mom hooked me up with some leftovers that no one else liked. This morning the rest of it ended up going in the crockpot for pizza soup. :)

PS - Don't feel that you have to change your default pic for me. I'm not offended by people who have different opinions than me. I think it's great that you are so excited about the whole thing!

I never tasted venison until I got married, but it tastes pretty good to me. I don't like the steaks, though. I think they are too tough. (Maybe they can be crock potted, too?)

It is fun to be excited about something, but I don't need to, you know, CONSTANTLY tell you about my political views. That just seems...I don't know? Pushy? Maybe I'm overly sensitive. :) Or...just having a bad day.

Yeah, the family likes it most of the time, but this was italian-style sausage that Dad didn't like. Which means it exits the house pretty fast and doesn't get made again. :-P Hopefully that means I'll get more of it! It was yummy and very versatile as tonight will be it's third appearance in a meal.

I'm underly sensitive, so feel free to change it, but don't feel like you HAVE to. (ps, I just realized I never wrote back to your last e-mail. I will go see if I have anything else to say)

In my last email I tended to blather on into infinity.

Yup! I read it, but didn't have time to respond, and now I don't remember if I had anything to say or not. Going to check now.
