Yes, I know! Unless hurricane ike was just that awesome it could do a round-house with it's hands? More likely the news writer just didn't do their research. Silly people.

Ooh, okay, cool. I'm intriguied that you got a clock out of it. :) What software do you use?

I just used photoshop elements and then combined the pictures together using a simple gif animator. I want a fancy gif animation program very much -- one that adds flashy things and sparkly things. But I'm not sure even the NAME of such a program. Plus it would probably be cost prohibitive.

Yeah, why is software so expensive. I want the latest Adobe suite. But it totally isn't worth the cost at this point. I just use Gimp now.

I had Gimp on my old, dead computer. But Elements came with my tablet, so I just use that now. Does the full version of Adobe do animation?

The full version comes with a seperate program called ImageReady that does animations.

Like flashy things and sparkly things? And it costs like $1500 or something?

You could probably do it, but I don't know how and I think it would be harder. Next time you see someone making sparklies, you should neomail them and ask them what program they use.

Unfortunately, I never really see anybody making sparkly things. There is one person on my f-list who gets her icons made for her by some community. I thought about joining just so I could ask what program they use, but to get into the community you have to jump through a LOT of hoops.

Yeah, all the communities I've seen (on lj, don't know about neo) are the same way. They're the ''all that'' type where you have to sell your soul if you accidentally let someone else have the sparkly/blinkie they made. Things like that. :\

I know there is at least one person on n_a that makes them. Oh, and maybe try this?

I'm sure you can start out in photoshop elements instead of PSP like they are talking about.

This site looks like fun to play with. Will have to try that when I get home! Thanks!

I've seen some communities on here to to make sparkly things. I have one lj friend who's a member of one of them. No clue what program they use though. I can't even think how you'd do that in Image Ready. Hm.

Yeesh. All I want to know is what program they use. I don't want someone to make them for me. I want to make them myself. :) Mwah hwah hwah.

I think I meant to reply to the "selling your soul" comment.
