Writer's Block: Gone but Not Forgotten

Many beloved television shows are no longer with us, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Six Feet Under, and Mystery Science Theater 3000. What defunct television show do you miss the most?

Firefly. Joan of Arcadia (ended on a cliff hanger! ARG!). Early Edition. The Pretender (they owe us another movie, dammit).
Twin Peaks - mostly because I want to know where the hell they were going with all the story lines.

I know there's more. I've taken to not watching a show unless it's got a full season (at least) under it's belt for fear of it not being picked up again. Stupid networks.

Agree with the Pretenders, one last movie to settle all the what ifs...

I was watching the DVDs and in one of the commentaries Craig W. Van Sickle mentioned that they had "plans" for another one... of course, this was in 2003 or something. *sigh*

Right, saw that as well. TNT should just pick it up and finish the series, as they shown the last two movies.

Have you heard of Heroes? Yeah, The 4400 is the show they ripped off for the premise. ANNOYING.

4400 was better! (I say this even though I've never actually seen Heroes, but 4400 was the predecesor so it had to have been better. :))

Frasier (I'm happy with the way it was ended and all, but still, it's my favorite show, so I HAVE to miss it :)) Firefly, The Pretender, Freaks & Geeks, Arrested Development... probably more that I can't think of at the moment...

It's funny, I never even saw the last 2-3 seasons of Frasier, even though I was completely OBSESSED with it in high school to the point of running one of the first fan websites and participating heavily in the usenet group (and then the off-shoot of that which was a listserv.). I should check out the DVDs.

Catherine! They were awesome! Definitely check out the DVDs - I've got the whole series. Totally worth the money, IMO :)

I pretty much stopped watching TV when I went to college, so that's the main reason. I'll definitely have to netflix the last few seasons. Are there any good special features on the DVDs? My favorite season was season 4 (fav episode: Ham Radio).

Ehhh, not really. I think a few have commentary, but there's not much else.
Ham Radio was awesome :)

I <3 commentary. I'll be checking it out. Also - HUGE crush on Niles. Darn that Daphne. :-P

Niles = ♥, although Frasier will always be my main squeeze :) Kelsey's the man.

Do you have netflix? If so, you should check out the first episode of Kate & Allie (it's available for instant watch) - Kelsey is in it and it was one of the very first things he's done. SOOO YOUNG! Anyway, if you are a big fan, it's worth seeing once. :)

Cheers is the only one on your list that I actually watched.

My list is mostly based on shows that were canceled prematurely. :-/

Quantum Leap! YES! Friends was great, but I think it had a good run - same as Frasier. Perfect Strangers! That show was so cute :)

"The Pretender (they owe us another movie, dammit)"

Seconded, thirded, fourthed, fifthed, one-hundredth! So so fustrating that they never made the promised final movie. :(

Forever Knight because that ending was just so damn wrong! New season, fix it :P Brain can't think of any others right now...
