"Our Song"s

Do you (Did you) have a song with your (ex)S.O.? What was it? Was there a story behind it? Is having an "our song" important to you in a relationship?

Just curious. :-) Feel free to answer anonymously if you want (post is not locked).

Well, when Tony was lying to me about dating me, the bitch who tried to get us together claimed that Hinders Lips of an Angel was their song...she didn't get why I was pissed off and I still turn the channel if it comes on

So, in a roundabout way of answering your question: No, we don't really have a song. I'd kinda like one, but...I don't think it's necessary. :)

Oooh, good song! I like the version by The Mindbenders the best, but Phil Collins' version has a certain dancibility to it. :)

My first bf and mine's song was "I Swear" by All 4 One. It was our junior prom song.

I don't/didn't have a song with any of my other bf's. There really wasn't an opportunity other than prom to warrant having a song.... I wouldn't mind having one but it's not a huge deal to me if we don't.

oooh.. I swear! Good one! Strangely, I like the John Michael Montgomery version better than the All 4 One version, even though I don't really like country. Maybe it's just because I heard that one first.

Is it bad that we have more than one?

Our main 'song' is Lonestar-Amazed I wouldn't say it is super important. It just helps me when it comes time to plan a wedding, because I know what song would be 'our dance.' This Lonestar song just describes us SO good. :)

Lately, I been falling in love with Brad Paisley - Then & I also always said since I was younger that I would use How Do I Live - LeeAnn Rimes.

I just love music & quite the variety of it, too.

I don't think that me and any of my boyfriends ever had an OFFICIAL song really. Just songs that remind me of them. My Matt song is Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing because it's the second song we danced to ever. The first one was about cheating and breaking up and I don't know the name of the song anyways, so it totally doesn't count.

When I think of you & Matt...I think of POKER FACE. Sorry, but I do. LOL!

The funny thing is that Poker Face reminds Matt of me because he was listening to it on Christmas Eve and that was like the first time he'd heard the song.

LOL. My high school boyfriend say our song was "All Over You" by Live.

I won't even tell you about the Lummox.

For Z and me, it's a Neil Diamond. :)

Delirious Love? I wish I had a ND userpic.

Back in my high school days, it was all about Firehouse.

I will make you one! What should it be? And isn't our song "The Grass Will Pay No Mind"? Once you told me that Hoobastank song reminds you of me, and that was nice, too. :)

Me and Zac Hanson's song is "On the Rocks". ;)

I don't really feel like answering about the relationship I did have. But I may make mention in a few days. :)

I'm not sure if Paul and I have a song. Probably not.

My ex Ryan and I's song was "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed. Ryan wound up with a heroin problem, so it was his and heroin's song, too. :/ Oh well!

Joe and i have a bunch of songs. Some are just silly that we have little dances to, some are just songs that make us think of each other. But i think the main one is "Soul Meets Body" by Deathcab for Cutie. Our first dance was "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica. Billy Joel's "You may be right". "Brown eyed girl" but we change it to Brown Eyed Monkey, and instead of the sha-la-las we sing ba-na-na-na's. And "Fields of Gold" by Sting from when we went to Busch Gardens and one of the shows we saw they sang that. I know there are more but thats a good start :)

As far as ex's, Seth and I never had a song. Joe V... "Love Song" by the Cure/311 and All Together Now by the Beatles.

Nope, no songs here. I've been sort of hoping we'd acquire one in the next year so we can have that for the first dance. Otherwise, it'll probably be "Fever" by Michael Buble because it's the most danceable song we both really like...and as funny as that would be...
