Holy awesome!

I just won Coraline on DVD! (AND the 3D version)

I was flipping stations on the radio and I heard they were talking about Coraline (and trying to describe it - ha), so I stopped. Then they said they were giving it away if you could guess what movie they were going to act out. They acted out Sweeney Todd! EASY GUESS (did the scene where they are talking about baking people into pies)!! So, when they said the phone number, I quick typed it into my phone and it rang for what felt like 5 minutes (probably was at least 1:30, though). I guess I was the first caller? But I won!!! YAYAYAYAY! And I was awesome on the radio, I think. I don't think anyone I know listens to that in the morning, though (wish I could post on facebook from work to find out).

Afterwards I was shaking. :-P

Now I just have to figure out when the heck I can pick it up. Might have to be after I get back from Alaska! Oops. :-P

YaYaYa!! Congrats on winning something - I can never get through the radio stations! hah.

How far is the radio station from where you live? Hopefully you can find some time to go get it!

It's probably about 15 minutes without traffic, but it's on the "West Shore" of the Susquehanna River, so there are bridges involved and I almost never go to that area. Since I'm trying to put in as many hours as I can at work before I leave, I think I might have to save this trip 'til when we get back (I have a month to pick it up, so it wouldn't be a huge deal, really).

I don't usually get through either! This is one of the less popular stations (and not a Clear Channel station), so maybe that is why? Or no one else around is obsessed with oblique musical theatre? :-P

*gasp* Sweeney Todd is not oblique musical theatre! *falls over dead*

Just kidding.

But that's awesome that you won!

Oh, come on, it is a little bit obscure! (have I miss used "oblique"? perhaps...) Of course, the recent movie did put it more in the public's eye. Sondheim is my hero. :-)

I do enjoy Sondheim but after the (TERRIBLE) movie I think it's more in the public eye. Thanks, Johnny Depp.

I have the DVD of the Angela Lansbury/Len Cariou production. Delicious.

Was the song A Little Priest or were they just doing the dialogue around that part? Haha. That part cracks me up.

I liked the movie, but not as much as the Lansbury production (WHERE DID YOU GET THAT ON DVD??). I did think the orange paint (ie, blood) was a bit much. I would have preferred it a little more subtle.

I'm not even sure. The radio guy's impression of Mrs. Lovett was laughably AWFUL! I do remember that he said the line about the politician being oily so I'm thinking from the song... but honestly, I'm having trouble remembering now since I was all nervous afterward.

Ah yeah I would just wait; sounds like a hassle to be squeezing into a schedule that doesn't have anytime left right now! It'll still be there when you get back if you have a month to claim it :)

That is so cool! Congratulations! I haven't seen the movie, but I've now read the book twice. YOU ARE A WINNER!

I haven't seen it yet (or read the book for that matter), but now I can watch it in the privacy of my own home. :-)

I usually try when you have to be caller number X, but rarely is there a trivia that I know of the top of my head. It was very exciting. :-)

I was really excited! It was hard to tell when I was on the radio and when I wasn't. They didn't hand me over to a producer or anything to take my info, so I tried to be "on" and not say anything stupid the whole time.

Nifty. My mom won a stuffed animal big bird, but didn't bother picking it up. I hope they ran the contest again and someone else got it that would have use for it. :-p

Awww... I'm sure Ryan would have loved a big bird! :-P

I don't really know what they do with unclaimed prizes - most of them are kind of timely and wouldn't make sense to do later.

Ten years ago, sure. :) A movie is better. :-p

Yeah, I think this was during sesame st live. But the question was in relation to a song they'd played and she didn't know what the prize was.
