So, I decided to make some Fry Bread (recipe from poor_skillz community, under cut before) to go with the leftovers in my fridge for dinner. It turned out GREAT (soooo yummy..... I want to eat it all), but while I was frying it up, some of the oil splattered onto the heating coil of the stove and created - viola - smoke! I turned on the hood fan above the stove right away, but as I have previously thought, it doesn't seem like it does ANYTHING. Now my apartment is in a lovely haze. I've opened all the windows and I've got my fan going as well as the hood fan, but it's hard to tell if it is making much of a difference. Bah. I'm just hoping the whole place & everything in it doesn't end up smelling like smoke forever. *sigh* At least I have some yummy fry bread to eat.
