How is tomorrow Friday already?

Wow... this week is just flying by. I feel like I've been here forever, too.

I've already written a paper that my Imaging Science professor assigned on the FIRST DAY OF CLASS. I bet you're thinking, "What? No procrastination?".... well, I did. I waited 'til yesterday... 'cuz the darn thing is due TODAY. What professor assigns a paper on the first day of class and makes it due in two days? We don't even have a sylabus yet! 'Tis crazy. But the class is really interesting, and it looks like it'll be my only class in which I have to take notes by hand. :-)

Ahhh... lab classrooms. :-)
I have to admit, I'm a bit anxious about History of Gaming. It really looks like we are going to do a lot of gaming! I suck at gaming! :-/ I'm really taking the class to try and get into it... see what the fuss is about. And it looks like I'll find out. I'm one of two girls in the class. And it really seems like the rest of them are very passionate about their gaming. I'll probably end up being the most objective person in the class. :-P It's definitely going to be a lot of writing. Andy says we might even be designing a sort of "ultimate game".. with all the best components. That would be very interesting. I feel like a bit of an outsider, though. I've never owned a console system. The first games I really played were solitare and mindsweeper.... I play games and I beat them and then I never play them again. Like the Harry Potter games. I finished them. I have no desire to go back and play them again. I get bored with games extremely easily. I don't know. But the book for the class looks really awesome. I hope it comes before the weekend so I have time to read it. :-)

Digital Music... erm. Al Biles and Jay Jackson. I'm worried. I don't know if I can take another class with 2 professors. :-/ It wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, it was in the same room as Streaming Media... and they took half an hour setting up the projector and stuff.... I'm hoping today is better. I wanna make stuff!!! I've been working on putting together my website repository space for the class... I really want to make it look nifty. More graphical than my past sites. I want to show that I can do it. :-)

This is long. New post!

Jay Jackson is kind of an imbecile when it comes to teaching. Also, the sound of his voice gives me a migraine.

OH, well. that's good.

Atleast he's only doing half of the lectures.

This is why I have issues taking notes to computer... It requires a degree of discipline - to not do things like this, that I don't really have... Oh well, I'll just have to work to develop it I guess. (8-P)

Yeah, but I do the same thing... I think it's shows how interesting the class is depending on how many lj comments you make. :-P

I s'pose. But then you don't pay attention.

I am the ultimate multi-tasker. Wednesday in class I was LJing, AIMing, and taking notes in class. :-D It was awesome. It helped that the professor basically reads off the powerpoint. My notes are practically an exact duplicate of the ppts. :-)

See that's cheating then. 8-P

Though for the most part, if I'm on the computer, that's where my mind is, not with what the prof's saying... especially if it's a straight classroom.

I'm confused...

Why/how are you taking classes from Imaging Science professors?

And how does web design fit into the curriculum of a Digital Music class? Or is it something you're doing on your own? (If so, why are you doing it if it's frustrating?)

Imaging Science is my second Lab Science class.

I have to make a website to host the stuff that I create in Digital music class. It was only frustrating because colors are dumb. :-P

You missed the confusing photoshop fun-ness.

So "Imaging Science" is the title of one class? That would be what's confusing me, because "Imaging Science" is also the name of my original major. :-P

Class is called Imaging Science Fundamentals.

We're just lazy.

Imaging science is fuuun. 8-}

Just found out that website is 40% of the grade. :-)

There was a time when a professor at RIT couldn't even count his or her students even knowing how to use e-mail. Now they're counting on you all being webmasters! That's kind of cool though, because it's silly to have people receiving degrees in Information Technology who don't even know how to publish information on one of the most common forms of communication technology.

That's right. Well, being that the FIRST IT course I took was learning how to use both e-mail and our grace accounts to make websites, and a prerequisite for the class is to be a 3rd year IT major... kinda fits.
