Atleast once a day....

Obligatory post for today.

Work has been boring, yet entertaining. Whatever. Getting picked up at 5pm by the Buick shuttle guy. Hopefully what they did to my car does not cost more than $731.24 'cuz that is what is in my account. Plus, I'd like to go food shopping tonight.

Looks like Wal*Mart it is. It must have been turned into a super-center recently 'cuz it is still very nice inside... and the prices that I saw when I was there getting milk & OJ last Sunday were very good (plus $0.86 for 4 really big cinnamon buns! :-D ). I am not buying Crystal Farms (or whatever it was called) cheese again. It sucks. It doesn't even taste like cheese. It looks like cheese, it feels like cheese, but it tastes like someone just sat it *next* to a real piece of cheese. I don't know what I'm going to do with what I have left. Probably melt it down or something. Bah. I might have written about that before, but it just really made me upset. I was thinking about the poor people who have only ever eaten that kind of cheese. They think that is what all cheese is like! I feel so bad for them.

Tomorrow the goal is to talk to Pete about the next step with this database-figuring-out-stuff. Find out who I should contact/talk to/meet with or whatever. That would be productive. :-)

Matt (Goshgarian, the one who I'm renting from) invited Matt (Shimko, who lives in the basement) and I to be on a team with himself and some of his friends for the annual SandBlast. There's a lake near IBM that has sand next to it (don't know for sure, but probably man made) and they have a competition to see who can make the coolest sand sculptures! It sounds like it will be fun, but I will get covered with sand, which I don't like doing. But I am going to do it anyway 'cuz it will be fun. I saw pictures from last year -- they(matt and his friends) did a simpsons theme the last two years and won 3rd place! Free to enter, but they have prizes and stuff if you place. Although, having me around might be detrimental. I'm going to try really hard not to be a complete klutz. :-P Maybe I'll just be the water girl or something. We'll see how it goes. :-)

Still got half an hour 'til the Buick guy is here. And this actually became a relatively long/informative post! Woohoo!

Oh, the other thing I wanted to say is that I am pretty much sick of my icons. But I have not been in the mood for photoshopping. I guess I should just start looking through my pictures... I really wish I had more than 3 spots... come on LJ, sell some more perminant accounts! :-D That's the only way I'll pay for it. So I'm thinking an Encore/music/singing icon, a HP/LotR/SW icon, and something very me. But I'd like to have an RIT icon, too, and a soothing icon (like my light house icon, I like my light house icon!). *shrug* If you have any ideas of what you think my default icon should be (as to not confuse the hell out of you or something, the Encore icon that Jess/Brie/I were using was hella-confusing me). :-P

And that's enough talking from me.

COMMENT. I dare ya.

Wow, you talk to a Pete at work about databases too? That's what *I* do! Well, among other things. :)

SELECT * FROM rit JOIN realworld ON rit.major = realworld.industry WHERE realworld.jobsavailable > 0;

0 rows returned.

AndIamageek. :)

If I could offer some of my userpics to you I would. I'll never use all 50 spots.

You should build a wizard's chess board at the SandBlast. That would be bloody brilliant. :)

That would be bloody brilliant. Too bad these are not harry potter people. :-/ Whatever we make I'll be sure to have my camera with me. :-)

(Not that any pictures I ever take get uploaded. silly me)

Um... you don't need to be a Harry Potter person to recognize that a complete chessboard of life-size pieces built in the sand would be freaking cool.
