web developings...

Well, I decided not to making a blog section on my website. Instead, I'm making a quote section. (a la, Ryan Jones). I've got a page that I can access to add quotes to my SQL database. And I have this page that retreives ALL the quotes in the database and displays them, rather poorly at the moment. But the point is that there are classes all set up for CSS-usage. I'm going to have a seperate layout/colour scheme/etc for each type of quote. Plus, I'm going to set up some sort of search so that you can pull up everything that a certain person said, or a certain date.

I spent the majority of today inputing quotes to the database from my livejournal memories. Weeee! I've got 264! *yea* When I get home, I can add some more that I've got on my computer and all will be happy. I'm trying to decide if I should make a page for people to add their own quotes. *shrug* We'll see. I've also gotta work on the graphics and the math of getting a textbox to always be in the middle of the browser window no matter how much resizing someone does.... based on percentages. I think I can handle it.

Informal Poll: Would you ever post a quote?

Out of Context Quotes are Always Fun! :)
A couple of my favorites:

"Catherine Germann - ooo. He's stripping! Oh-no! His thing fell off! 05/10/2004"...
...Do I WANT to know t6he context for this one?

"Cindi Danieli - I know when I can't concentrate, chances are I'm pregnant. 05/22/2003"...
...Why does this one sounds familiar to me? Was I there? According to the date I was in DC at the time, but it sounds SO familiar. Hmm...

Oh wait! I think I just got it. It's from that commercial where the woman jogging is like "I can't concentrate. Could I be pregnant?" I wish I hadn't figured that out literally 5 seconds after posting...

You were there! Date is when I posted it on lj 'cuz I don't remember exactly when things were said. :-P

I happen to remember that you were there because Cindi was making fun of a commerical that was on Lifetime or something when we were watching one of those made-for-tv movies that we used to watch all the time. :-)

I had Professor Richmond for a couple physics classes. He's awesome! He would always climb on furniture to demonstrate stuff.
