I have matching bruises on my shins. How did they get there?

I don't suppose a kneeling chair would have anything to do with that. ;)

maybe if it were made of stones....
but it's nice and padded, so I don't think that's it. :-P

Unless you've gotten a new chair, I can state knowingly that the padding you speak of has no effect. :-P

Because the shin bone is right underneath the skin no matter how much muscle or fat is on your legs, any direct pressure - even through 2 inches of "nice and padded" - can cause bruising like that. The chair's only saving grace is that its kneeling pad is wide enough (vertically) to cover most of the shin bone, so pressure on any one spot is minimized... unless you happen to slip into an awkward angle that puts all that pressure on just one spot.

Yes, I'm an expert on kneeling chairs, because I've owned one. :-P
