*rolls eyes*

No, seriously, I think the US has been behind the rest of the world regarding their currency design for a LONG time. Our bills have been the blandest in the world for way too long, and it's about time they are starting to spice things up.

(not to mention the fact that we need to start designing currency with people with disabilities in mind... but that's another rant for another day)

Agreed. Ever see Swiss Money? It's different colors, and each one is a different length. Each domination varys by the same size so when you organize them they form perfect tabs. Works REALLY well.

Especially for the blind. Do you have any idea how sucky it is to rely on strangers to tell you whether you've got a $5 or a $50?

8-0 Maybe I'll look for a job in the GPO!

Euros are tabbed-like too, and they get a kick out of making fun of their own currency. I never would've thought of that reason though. Whoa, neat, and useful.

Too bad there are probably people out there who've either
A. Written up new drivers for the devices that removes/disables utilization of the anti-counterfeiting technology OR
B. Opened up the scanning device and manually removed/tweaked it to stop such technology.

Or there is always the tried-and-true "use your old scanner and photoshop", "digital camera + very good lighting", etc.

There will *always* be ways past technology. Recall the anti-ripping tech. they tried putting into CDs? Someone found that holding "shift" while loading the CD disables it. *smirks*
