Hm... sounds like a case for spamcop.
Spamcop is a wonderful thing. As for the blank e-mails... you should "view source" on them, if at all possible. This will probably show you a warning message that RIT has deleted the contents of the e-mail. (Only, they munge the e-mails so they don't get displayed. oops. Bad RIT.)

Spam...
Mailwasher is a very nice program to use which gets rid of all that crap for you. It uses the Spamcop database, among others to filter out Spam and also has the added bonus of bouncing the emails back to the server, so your address will actually get deleted from a couple lists. And the best part.....it's free.

Re: Spam...
woo-hoo! Good idea... I just can't have Opera check my e-mail every minute like I used to. Oh, well... We shall see.

Re: Spam...
you can set Mailwasher to check your mail every minute....it will let you know when you have mail, and you press the "Process Mail" button, and if it's not Spam, it'll open your mail program for you automatically. It's pretty cool.

And yes Dan...this cool thing is free too.

Re: Spam...
Work's very nice so far, 'cept I don't use Outlook, and it assumes that I do... YUCK! But I can deal... and it doesn't look like there is a way to configure the mail program settings... anyway, I doubt it'd let me say "Opera".
